About This Course

Woodwork for Intermediates. These courses are aimed at those who have some experience of woodwork, either by attending a Beginners course at the MSW or by other means. Students should have some knowledge of working with basic hand tools, able to measure accurately and have done some simple woodwork projects in the past. There is some flexibility within the courses but students will normally cover the use of a Mortise and Tenon joint in the construction of a frame, in the form of perhaps a small table or stool. Some of the larger pieces of equipment in the workshop will be covered and utilised in the project. The cost of materials used on the course are not covered by the courses fee. These are available from the MSW but rarely exceed £20.
